Operating times
When sailing through Assen you will encounter multiple bridges and sluices. On this map you can see where which bridge or sluice is located. Bridge 11 is the lowest bridge in Assen, with a height of 3,5 meters. The two sluices in Assen are 6 meters wide and 25 meters long.

‘Het Kanaal’ has exceptional opening times. When you sail into Assen coming from Groningen you can acces Het Kanaal until 1600h via ‘de Blauwe Kap’. When coming from the direction of Meppel, acces to Het Kanaal is possible until 1500h via ‘Willem III’.
