Subscriptions

ACU membership subscriptions are based upon a formula related to the UN Human Development Index (HDI), and divided into three groups: low, medium, and high. Within these groups, subscriptions are based on an individual institution's recurrent income as stated for the most recent financial year.¹

This model of redistributive membership subscription provides all universities in the Commonwealth with an affordable option to join the ACU.

Membership fees 2019 - 2020

The subscription year runs from 1 August until 31 July. Subscriptions are payable in pounds sterling (GBP) and are reviewed annually by the ACU Council.

Low HDI countries

Bangladesh, Cameroon, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Nauru, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Samoa, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Tanzania, Tuvalu, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Medium HDI countries

Belize, Botswana, Fiji, Ghana, Guyana, India, Kiribati, Namibia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Swaziland, Tonga, Vanuatu

High HDI countries

Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Barbados, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Cyprus, Dominica, Grenada, Hong Kong, Jamaica, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, New Zealand, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and The Grenadines, Seychelles, Singapore, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom (United Kingdom prices will incur VAT)
