AAUN/ACU International Africa Forum

The Australia Africa University Network and the ACU will host the International Africa Forum, themed 'The Power of Partnerships', and the AAUN Annual Meeting, on 8-9 July 2013 at the University of Sydney.

The Forum will bring together Australian and African researchers, policy-makers, officials and other interested parties to discuss areas of mutual interest and agree on an action plan.

Bursaries

Four bursaries of up to £1,500 are available to delegates from AAUN member universities in the African region. These will go to support the PhD students and Early Career researchers in the fields of food security and health.

Award winners will be expected to attend the follow-up workshop in Pretoria in April 2014 as well as work on a collaborative project with other AAUN members.

Closing date for applications is 22 May 2013.  

A maxiumum of one bursary per member institution will be awarded.

The ACU has negotiated discounted rates with the Mercure Sydney, Novotel Hotel Sydney as well as Y Hotel, City South — however better rates may be found online. To book, please contact the hotels directly mentioning the ACU/AAUN conference.
