Tricia Wombell to deliver ACU Perspectives talk

Published on 09 February 2015

The ACU Perspectives speaker series will return on Monday 23 February 2015 with a talk on supporting diversity aspirations in UK higher education. The series’ overall theme is ‘change and opportunity in higher education’ – a broad topic allowing speakers to engage with the subject of their choice using local context and personal experience.

Having inaugurated the Perspectives series in 2012, offering members a chance to actively contribute to debates and discussions on the future directions of higher education, the ACU is delighted to welcome Tricia Wombell to launch the 2015 edition of the series. Tricia is Director of Marketing and Communications at the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education, allowing an in-depth insight into how members and customers have access to and use leadership development programmes, research, consultancy advice and services.

The journey to becoming more diverse and representative of the communities that universities and higher education colleges serve is continuous, so with the Leadership Foundation’s work being underpinned by its reach for equality and diversity in universities, and through its work with a range of organisations, Tricia is in an ideal position to share the thinking that supports and impacts their work.

The event will take place at the UCL Institute of Education, WC1H 0AL London. On the day, doors open at 5.45 pm. The talk will start at 6.00 pm and last approximately 45 minutes. This will be followed by a 20-minute Q&A session and then an informal drinks reception.

Tricia's talk follows previous talks by Dr Joan Dassin, Professors Budd Hall, Graeme Hugo, Roger Makanjuola, and our inaugural ACU Perspectives speaker, Professor Loyiso Nongxa.

The event's hashtag will be #ACUperspectives
