Open call for funded places at the Commonwealth Science Conference 2017

Published on 13 May 2016

Early career and established scientists in the Commonwealth are invited to apply for a limited number of funded delegate places at the 2017 Commonwealth Science Conference.

The conference, co-organised by the Royal Society and the National Research Foundation Singapore, will take place in Singapore from 13-16 June 2017. It aims to bring together scientists at postdoctoral level and above to showcase the best science from the Commonwealth.

The multidisciplinary programme includes plenary lectures from eminent scientists and sessions on topical issues such as new technologies and their social acceptance, emerging infectious diseases, sustainable cities, low carbon energy, and the future of the oceans.

This is a unique opportunity to meet and hear from world leading scientists, and discuss common challenges and opportunities to work together.

Professor John Wood, ACU Secretary General, asks that everyone circulate this call to their relevant contacts, to ensure that it reaches as wide a selection as possible of excellent scientists. The hashtag to promote this on Twitter is #csc17.

The application deadline is 7 June 2016. Click here to find out more about eligibility and how to apply, or visit the conference website.
