This year, the University of Malta is offering four Master's scholarships to students from Ghana and Nigeria through the Commonwealth and Valletta Action Plan.

Available for both research and taught Master's, areas of study on offer include International Relations, Geosciences, and Media and Communications.

The scholarships are available for students, staff and graduates of ACU member universities in Ghana and Nigeria, and include tuition fees, air fare, boarding and meals, and a small living allowance.

In 2017 two Commonwealth Scholarships were offered by the Government of Malta: a student nominated by Lancaster University Ghana was awarded a scholarship for a Master's in Marketing, and a graduate of Redeemer's University in Nigeria is now studying for a Master's in International Relations at the University of Malta.

Full details about the scholarships and how to apply are available here – the deadline for universities to nominate candidates to the ACU is Monday 9 April 2018.
