The final day of Going Global saw delegates look to what the future holds for higher education. Bringing together conversations on social responsibility, the importance of partnerships, academic mobility and how research is vital to achieving the SDGs, the conference ended with youth representatives from Nigeria, Malaysia, Brunei and China/UK sharing their vision for what the future of global higher education will look like.

Beyond the debates in the conference sessions the exhibition centre hosted a variety of posters, including many from our member institutions, showcasing the vast impact of university partnerships and research across the Commonwealth and beyond. Barbara Howell and Nigel Trodd from Coventry University took home top prize for their poster which truly embodied the conference theme of 'Global connections, local impact' – a very worthy winner!

Dr Joanna Newman, Chief Executive and Secretary General, Liberty Oberlander, Head of Membership Development, Faye Taylor, Head of Strategic Partnerships and Kathryn Barnard, Events Manager, are attending this year's conference to represent the ACU and its membership.
