Fifteen students from UK member institutions will be travelling to summer schools around the Commonwealth this summer, thanks to the ACU's new Global Summer School Grants.
This scheme, which awards travel grants of up to GBP £2000, allows UK undergraduates to participate in a diverse range of summer programmes offered by our members across the Commonwealth.
This year students will be taking part in a range of exciting experiences, from studying Public Health in South Africa, to learning about Canadian culture, benefiting from Kyambogo University's (in Uganda) expertise in natural resources development, and gaining knowledge of the Indian business environment.
The students are:
Participating in a short-term mobility experience, such as a summer school, enables students to develop their knowledge, gain international experience, learn new skills, meet people from other countries and increase their intercultural understanding, all while having fun.
The grant scheme will be running again in 2019 and applications will open in January.
