Professor Cheryl de la Rey appointed new Vice Chancellor of University of Canterbury, New Zealand
Professor Cheryl de la Rey is the new Vice-Chancellor of the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.
Having been a member since 1963, the ACU is delighted that Professor de la Rey is taking up the reins at this prestigious institution – and we look forward to building on our engagement with universities in New Zealand.
Professor de la Rey is currently Vice-Chancellor of the University of Pretoria in South Africa, during her tenure she served as Vice-Chair of the ACU Council (our governing body). She actively champions women in leadership and is recognised internationally for her research and leadership.
