Register for a free talk on research impact with Dr David Phipps on Thursday 31 January

Dr David Phipps, Executive Director, Research & Innovation Services at York University in Canada will be delivering a talk at the ACU headquarters in London on Thursday 31 January from 3.30-4.30pm.

Focusing on 'Making an impact across the Commonwealth and beyond', Dr Phipps – an award winning research impact expert and knowledge mobiliser, and ACU Engage Community Steering Committee member – will be joined by Tony Roche from global scholarly publisher Emerald Publishing, and Dr Julie Bayley from the University of Lincoln, UK.

Together, they will share insights into their work supporting research impact literacy, a concept created by David and Julie after meeting through an ACU Fellowship in 2016, and discuss the growing international research impact movement.

The talk is free to attend and will be followed by a drinks reception, providing attendees with the opportunity to meet the speakers and network with peers from other ACU member universities.

Dr Phipps received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his work in knowledge mobilization and was named the most influential knowledge mobilizer in Canada. He is the KT Lead for Kids Brain Health Network and Network Director for Research Impact Canada.

He is also a member of the ACU Engage Community's steering committee, which brings together individuals at ACU members across the Commonwealth with an interest in research uptake, impact and management, community engagement and much more.
