Published on 26 February 2013

Professor Graeme Hugo will deliver the third talk in the ACU Perspectives speaker series on Wednesday 13 March 2013, 6.00 pm (talk to commence at 6.30 pm), at 183 Euston Road (the Wellcome Collection building), London, W1B 1NT.

Graeme Hugo is an ARC Australian Professorial Fellow, a Professor of Geography, and the Director of the Australian Population and Migration Research Centre at the University of Adelaide. He will be speaking on international migration and higher education in Australia, highlighting the challenges and opportunities facing both the destination and the origin countries of migrants, with a particular focus on the Asia-Pacific region.

Under the broad theme of 'Change and opportunity in higher education', the ACU Perspectives speaker series offers ACU members a chance to contribute to debates and discussions on the future of higher education. This platform enables members to share their ideas and experiences, and to bring insights from their own region, institution or discipline.

Professor Graeme Hugo's talk follows that of Professor Roger Makanjuola, former vice-chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria; and our inaugural ACU Perspectives speaker, Professor Loyiso Nongxa, vice-chancellor and Principal of the University of Witwatersrand.

Although this forthcoming event is free, attendees are required to register via this link before Friday 8 March 2013.
