Call for 2013 PR Awards entries now open

Published on 05 June 2013

The ACU’s PR, Marketing and Communications Network has launched its call for entries for the 2013 PR Awards.

Now in its seventh year, the PR Awards aim to recognise, encourage and celebrate the achievements of higher education institutions and the professionals who work within them, as well as draw attention to models of good practice for the higher education sector internationally.

'The PR Awards provide a chance for ACU members to promote their institution and have their PR, marketing and communications activities assessed and recognised by an international panel of experts,' said Irene Costello, Coordinator of the ACU’s PR, Marketing and Communications professional network.

In a change from previous years, there will be seven award categories – up from six in 2012 – with three of these being judged as digital-only submissions in order to reflect the shift towards digital publishing and the drive towards environmental sustainability.

Last year’s awardees were the University of East London (UK), ITM University (India), Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (South Africa), Bangor University (UK), Midlands State University (Zimbabwe), and the University of Nottingham (UK, pictured).

ACU members are encouraged to find out more about the 2013 PR Awards by clicking here and are encouraged to apply before the 30 September 2013 deadline.
