The ACU, in conjunction with the Britain-Nigeria Educational Trust (BNET), is pleased to announce the second BNET Commonwealth Fellowship, tenable at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

The BNET Commonwealth Fellowship will enable an experienced academic, working in areas of strategic importance to the University of Ibadan, to undertake a programme of teaching and research at the University for a period of up to three months. The fellowship is supported by a specific donation from BNET to the CSFP endowment fund, set up to mark the 50th anniversary of Commonwealth Scholarships in 2009 and managed by the ACU.

The Fellowship is available to citizens of any Commonwealth country, other than Nigeria. It is expected that the recipient will be at a senior level, and will contribute extensively to teaching, supervision and/or research at the University. Applications are welcome from all subject areas, but particular priority will be given to work in the field of Agriculture and Food security, Health and renewable Energy and Health.

The Fellow will receive an appropriate monthly stipend, accommodation at the University, return fare from her/his home country to Ibadan, and an agreed allowance for research or other costs during the award. The maximum value of the Fellowship will not exceed £10,000. The Fellowship will last for a maximum period of three months, and must be completed by the end of the 2014 calendar year.
