Moving abroad - emigration

If you move abroad (emigration) or will be staying abroad for at least two-thirds of the year (= 8 months), then you will need to deregister with the municipality in person within 5 days of departure. If you have a partner and/or children, they will need to join you and get deregistered as well.

Is no one staying behind at the old address? You can also inform us about your deregistration digitally or in writing. Then you don’t have to come to the municipality in person.
